Wire EDM

Wire EDM machining (Electrical Discharge Machining) is an electro-thermal production process where a thin metal wire, along with de-ionized water, allows the wire to cut through metal by the use of heat from electrical sparks while preventing rust. It enables us to realize one or more hollows or teeth per hole in workpieces that have undergone heat treatment, thus with a hardness above 50 HRC.

Wire EDM’s flexibility makes it also suitable for workpieces featuring special profiles where no specific tool is available.
